From the Machinery Directive to the Machinery Regulation, what and how many changes for Technical Communication
Abstract
The Machinery Regulation, which is currently being prepared, will soon flank and then replace the current Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.
The Machinery Regulation will introduce significant elements of innovation compared to the previous directive from several points of view:
From a procedural point of view by allowing alignment with the new legislative framework and therefore with the LV and EMC Directives
From a substantial point of view by codifying additional profiles in the machinery marketing process and defining their relative responsibilities
From a technical point of view by sensitising manufacturers to the adoption of new technical adaptation measures in the face of the ever more frequent presence in workplaces of machines with autonomous behaviour.
The above requires a critical analysis leading to the identification of application criteria, in order to solve aspects that may not be immediately implemented.
